adidas, Nike -

Major footwear and clothing companies continue to move production out of China. Since 2010, adidas have halved their Chinese manufacturing, with Vietnam absorbing most of the business. The trend is similar over at Nike, as big brands look to move away from increasing labour costs. As China shifts its focus to more valuable items, such as electronics, wages for higher skilled workers have been on a steady rise. As a result, many international footwear, clothing and textile brands have turned to low-wage nations in South-East Asia for production. Cortez, Kendrick Lamar, Nike -

Kendrick Lamar can't get enough of the Cortez. Since signing with Nike, Kung Fu Kenny has dropped two Cortez colabs and now, according to his most recent Instagram stories, he has a third on the way. Py_rates have given us the drop on the lates Off-White release; that is, a render of what it might look like. The red of the upper gives way to even more colour, with orange hitting the Swoosh and sole, and jade detailing adding contrast. We’re glad Virgil has taken a different approach with his...

Nike, Off-White, Virgil Abloh -

After months of rumours and a couple of shoddy leaks, Virgil Abloh has given us what we want: a proper look at his upcoming Off-White Prestos. He took to Instagram to share the model, which comes draped in white or black with contrasting lettering on the sides.  Abloh has distinguished his own pairs with lettering along the midsoles in peach and lime green — something we’re bound to see copied by blue-ticked IG accounts in the months to come. Just as he shared pairs, so too did a hoard of leakers. It’s unclear whether pairs on unauthorised accounts are the real deal...
